Theresa's Adventures in Miami

You may all be getting bored of her, you may be on the verge of writing a strongly-worded email, you may have already started it, you may have just pressed the send button... But until I actually hear that you have had enough of the glorious Theresa Ivancik, I'm just going to go ahead and carry on compiling posts in her honour.

We've had Theresa counting down to the Nationals, and we've had Theresa on stage there. And today, it's Theresa before, during, after and since the Nationals that will bring us right up to date with your Hot and Hard 100 highest new entry (#12).

BEFORE

The final shots of her lean and pumped suggested she would blow the competition away. Delays and one hell of a nightmare! wrote Theresa, stuck at Pittsburgh airport on her way to the Nationals. This hurricane is brewing and will soon land - just not sure when. Now I'm not clear if she was still referring to herself as "the hurricane" at that stage or whether there really was a hurricane, but I am absolutely 100% sure this is the first time I've posted a picture of what a female bodybuilder had for breakfast!




The female bodybuilder's "kit", left. Weighed in at 159 [lbs, roughly 72kg or 11st 3lbs]!!! she wrote. Almost that time! Super pumped and ready to do this!!! And the next morning, the day of the show, she woke up and her abs looked like this - swoonworthy flawless perfection. The calm before the storm, she told her 8,000+ Instagram followers. If they only knew what was coming... one replied.

DURING



One of the hardest line-ups ever! she reckoned after prejudging was over. Then - all beautifully bronzed and glamorous - she donned her evening show kit in her room.



Backstage, meanwhile, she hung out and took up more than her fair share of space in other people's pictures, outsizing all and sundry except, intriguingly, one youthful and very impressively built non-competitor. Now who, does anybody know, is she?



As we know, things didn't quite go according to plan for Theresa (2nd), but even as she flexed on stage, looking, as contest photographer Dan Ray put it, "AMAZING", fans were putting the finishing touches to their new Theresa-inspired artwork, or sonnet. This visual tribute comes from a prolific female muscle head, Jeremy Gau.



AFTER

When the kit had been removed and the next day dawned, Theresa was still buzzing. 2nd out of 8 amazing girls! I have achieved more then I ever dreamed of this time around and don't need a first place to feel that way, she wrote, before getting down to exploring the glamorous side of female bodybuilding with a series of photo shoots.




We've heard before on FMS how much Theresa enjoys squeezing into those revealing outfits and doing the modelling. We've also heard how she doesn't allow photographers to doctor the images. I want it to be the real me people see, she said in 2010.



And with food inside her at last, her muscles swelling with every mouthful (is how I picture it, anyway), there was, as usual, no way those photographers could have improved their subject. Well, perhaps fewer clothes, but she's barely covered as it is, and they are working in public I believe. At least Theresa was able to strip down a bit more and expose her rippling tanned body to some extent between appointments.



Then, it was time to take in South Beach, before one last Miami selfie and a defiant message to her fans. Just because you may trip once in awhile, doesn't mean you have to fall. Can't wait for 2016. I will be back to the stage, and even better then before!



SINCE

Theresa has been struggling to find something in her size for the Christmas season...



Not really! Though it looks like she's made some special modifications to that top, she is, in fact, modelling the outfit for a new "partner", Bella Moda Studio ("a company that's passionate about joining fitness with fashion", apparently). And those who are not so much fans of the shaved-on-the-side look she's been sporting recently will be pleased to know that she's started growing it out. What I don't get is how anyone can focus on her hair. I mean, really, LOOK AT THE BEEF, AT THE SIZE OF THAT ARM!



16", she informs us, helpfully. Heck yeah!

So, like I was saying, let me know when you've had enough.

We promised news of Theresa Ivancik's bid to win her pro card at the NPC Nationals in Miami last weekend, and here she is in all her big and beautiful muscular glory.




With a shock of blond dyed into the ends of her luscious dark locks, Theresa wore purple for the pre-judging and comparisons round. Up against seven other women in the heavyweight class including the familiar names of Wendy Watson, Anne Sheehan and Ariel Gail, Theresa was in the centre for the one and only set of comparisons the judges felt they needed to see before making their decision.




Theresa was in blue for her evening routine. Having come so close at the IFBB North Americans earlier in the year, where she won the heavyweight class but not one of the three pro cards on offer there (see FMS passim), would this finally be her moment?




No. When the placings were called, Theresa lost out to the heavyweight winner Tischa Thomas. Once again, she had come excruciatingly close. Really, excruciatingly close. Looks like I lost my pro card by one point! she told her Facebook followers after the scorecards became available. But I feel I have already won thanks to all the support from each and everyone of you... I have exceeded my own expectations at this show [and will be] working on making my weaknesses my strengths. "I'll be back!"




Indeed she will - and on FMS sooner rather than later as we take a closer look at the NPC Nationals all week next week, including more on Theresa's adventures in Miami.

Heat and the Hurricane: Theresa Ivancik's Countdown to the 2015 NPC Nationals

While I am slightly disappointed that Theresa didn't get her pro card this time - I think she was in her best ever shape here - there's also a large part of me that is secretly celebrating that fact. It's not because I'm a bad person, I just can't help liking the fact that now Theresa will have to do one more contest this year - the NPC Nationals in Florida in November. And that means more contest prep pictures...

This weekend, your FMS Hot and Hard 100 highest new entry Theresa Ivancik will take to the stage at the pre-Christmas female muscle treat that is the NPC Nationals. 4 WEEKS OUT

4 weeks Miami!!!! writes Theresa. No stopping now!!!



Her veins are popping out across her magnificent chest ALREADY! And are my eyes deceiving me or do some of those gorgeous striations have striations of their own?



I'm wondering to myself whether or not I'm going to be able to handle four more weeks of such pumped up and oh so very swoonworthy muscle. And the side view only makes me wonder more. Wow, says Mr Fit Vids on Theresa's Instagram, echoing my thoughts exactly. I see winner right there. And he should know, he's bloody filmed a few.

Perfection! adds one of her fans. Easy there fella! The final countdown's just begun, mate - remember what M-People have taught us: Things can only get better...



THE EYE OF THE TIGRESS: 3 WEEKS OUT



I squeezed my way into a medium, jokes Theresa. Ye Gods! Pretty good, comments "fan" "alexanderbauer", with, believe it or not, absolutely no sense of irony.



Looks like she squeezed her way out of it too. Getting ready to hit some back, Theresa tells us. Hang on! This is BEFORE she pumps up?! She must be joking again...



Arms and chest day get updates this week as well, and I don't mind telling you that at this stage I am as good as passing out with all the swooning Theresa is compelling me to do... But what's this? Look out! There's video... Pec flyes. Have mercy Theresa!!!

She ignores my pleas. She's relentless.

2 WEEKS OUT

Getting tighter ;) ready to bring the hurricane to Miami!!!!



I'm not especially proud of the comment about Theresa's marvellous midriff and the consequent mosaic that I made before, so I'm not going to say anything about what her one week tighter abs follow-up caused to blow (with hurricane force). Nothing at all. Just enjoy those veins. Just enjoy imagining, as I did, all the bits of Theresa outside the frame of the photo. And don't think about hurricanes. Or blowing. Don't.



Arm day! Theresa tells us, displaying the beef. That's a lot of chicken consumance, replies an aptly named Dutchman, "surrealmanifest". Would love to see how those arms feel, replies another follower. Clearly I'm not the only person suffering some kind of mental breakdown during Theresa's contest prep. Pretty good, pipes up our irony-less friend "alexanderbauer", could be bigger though. "Ultakaka" is somewhat less reserved: No one in the world has the beauty, definition and size of this woman. She has the look and appeal to put FBBing front and center. Can't help thinking I've heard that exact same sentence a few times in my female muscle lovin' life! Sometimes I think of us female muscle heads as the crowd in "The Life of Brian" - I say you're the Messiah and I should know, I've followed a few! Theresa: THE (latest) CHOSEN ONE!



This is where I ended up after hamstrings and legs day, admits Theresa, showing us she's mortal after all... But by Friday, she was risen again - up and at 'em, perky as hell. And topless. Again. Fasted cardio... Breakfast in check!!! Clients... Training quads, then massage!!! A massage?! Here comes the swoon... AMAZING BEAUTIFUL ETC replies "serge473", caps lock on as soon as he hit the "a", and it seems he just couldn't get it back off again. Or type more than a couple of words before giving up. I know it's hard with one free hand and all, but really, was it worth hitting return for that?



PEAK WEEK: 1 WEEK OUT

Getting closer to show time!!! she says.



I obviously need to eat a lot more protein 'cos I feel like I peaked somewhat early in the piece. But anyway, it's time for Theresa to work on those shoulders, which, like Moon River, are clearly wider than a mile (there's such a lot of delts to see...)



The hurricane is getting tighter and stronger, she promises. And those glutes certainly look strong and tight enough to cause some damage. Effortlessly taking up the extreme weather theme, Theresa-fan "reubenpatel" confidently predicts You'll blow away the competition lookin that Dayyyym fine. And hello, "serge473" has got his caps lock off: Get'em girl! he writes. Good on him. Me? Well, I'm kind of hypnotised by the eyes...



I don't think I've ever been in such a state of extreme excitement while actually writing a post and I've written a few! So what is it about Theresa these days? Such confidence in her eyes about how hot she is, writes one forum member. Female bodybuilders seem to understand tacitly that they have it all over other women. Indeed they do. And some female bodybuilders, it seems, understand it just that bit more than others.
