An ambition? Sounds more like motivation, and indeed, it was in a Pin folder entitled "Gym Motivation" that this statement of intent was found. She, the lady who wrote the caption, wants the strength to do the pull-up because she wants to do it topless.



I am not complaining. I find a topless pull-up, or indeed any topless back exercise, about as exciting a piece of muscle exhibitionism as any that will still make it onto the more censored bits of the internet or for that matter anywhere on the internet at all.



And it's no use pretending otherwise, ladies. We know why you do it.

Solely to see the progression of my back muscles! claims "Cyn". Not to turn on pervs!

Oh really! And that would be why you whipped off your top and cranked out those pull-ups bare-breasted, filmed it, and then uploaded it to your YouTube channel, would it? So you could share with your 700+ subscribers "the progression of your back muscles" and make sure "pervs" (like me?) had no access to it at all. Please!



I am strong, says the topless pull-up. And I am sexy.

There's no better reason. Why try to fool us into thinking otherwise?



And to celebrate, FMS has been inspired to do something we've never actually done before and created our own little compilation of topless backs in motion - including Cyn's - and starring Cindy Landolt first and last, Melissa Wee (tanned and sweaty), Kristina Nicole, Juliana Pereira, and more! Hardly the best-edited piece of work you'll ever see, but I defy you not to be impressed by the progression...



This never happens in my gym, is the most common lament of the forum poster when faced by these kinds of clips and images. Well, no, it doesn't happen in mine either, or in anyone's for that matter. Most of them look like they're performed in privacy anyway. Private right up until these exhibitionists share them with the world.

Clip of the Week (& Channel of the Year!)

Now in a normal week, this compilation of the best of FMS fave Jessica Williams' Instagram from World of Muscle Girls would be a shoe-in for Clip of the Week, but this has turned out to be far from a normal week. Alerted to a completely different compilation on one of the forums - an edit one of the members rated as "the best collection I've ever seen" - I was so impressed I surmised the creator displayed such craft they must have been in the FBB compilation business for some time.

And I hoped that they still were.

Second time this week my dream has come true!

Having gone into a bit more detail than originally intended with last week's Summer Break @NPC USAs posts, I find myself playing catch-up. No time for very much at all, I'm afraid, so this week I'm having to go a bit PumpItUp - one picture every day.

Summer Break I: Day 7

In the past, FMS has tended to close up shop for weeks over the summer, usually during August. We've tried not to leave you FMS-less on those occasions, and have consequently come up with ideas like Legs Month, August Picture Post, and, last year, While the Slave's Away to tide you over while we're sunning ourselves.

This year we're not shutting up the offices for one long holiday but a series of shorter breaks, but our commitment to give you at least one stunning example of female muscle heat to look at every day remains. So this year it's Summer Breaks, and this week we're taking our first of the year. We hope you enjoy our selections.

BRAZILIAN WONDER #3



Not the best quality pictures, I thought to myself, but DAMN especially that one on the right. Is she standing right in front of his face because she's so into herself she gets turned on giving him an eyeful or because she's so into herself that she hasn't even noticed him? And then, I couldn't even decide which scenario was hotter.



Say hello to Grace Kelly, no really, that appears to be what her name is. Or Grace Kelly Bom Bom. She adds that to it. Or, just plain ol' Gracesex, which is her Instagram moniker. Can't you tell? She's the shy and retiring type is Grace. Not.



To say she's grown a bit would be putting it mildly.



She's fully on her way to becoming an entirely different species altogether.



She's the latest WFF Champion of São Paulo, and as you may know in the WFF they call the FBB category "Extreme Body". Somehow that seems entirely appropriate.

Awefilms have come a-calling already.



And they're pretty good at spotting the next big thing, the new extreme.

She Loves It

When I first started lifting weights, this pose became one of my favorites mainly because of how the traps look but now I have biceps and shoulders (I did not when I first started training!) I've had many people tell me this particular pose is not "feminine" or a woman can't or shouldn't do this pose.



Still doing it, because I still LOVE it.

"I'm in Love" (Part One)

Not, as you might expect, my own (latest) declaration of love for Shannon, Asha, Erica, Dani, Nicky, Melissa (Wee or Lesage) or any of the myriad examples of magnificent muscular womanhood featured on FMS, but rather a look at a selection of images from Girls with Muscle that have recently moved other female muscle heads to type (no doubt with just the one hand) the exact words "I'm in Love".



Images like this one of Swedish Bodyfitness beauty Ida Bergfoth - aka "oidao" on Instagram - flexing her unexpectedly (even suspiciously?) enormous arm.



And this one of Physique champ Susan Smith which, as well as attracting declarations (plural) of love, has also attracted offers (yes, plural) of marriage, and even a lengthy quotation of a Commodores lyric!



A very different, but, it seems, equally enamouring shade of muscular beauty is provided here by Russian make-up artist and Crossfitter Harvi Monroe - aka Harvi Don't Stop on vk. Near the top of my lust list, says one fan with "a bit of a thing for Goth girls". I'm sure Harvi is very proud to have made that list...



Fitness instructor, model, personal training business owner and soon-to-be Figure competitor Sarah Varno is one of the few women brave enough to actually venture to make a comment about the comments about her on GWM. But once she'd complained that she gets "better feedback on Instagram" an avalanche of compliments about her triceps, choice of outfit, and all-round loveliness appeared under this pic.



Britain's most shredded and FMS fave Corinne Ingman made a few muscle-in-the-kitchen fantasies come to life with this ravishing image of her hot and hard back. Corinne's plans for 2016 apparently include "lots and lots of squatting". Nice.



Don't have much info about Korean stunner Lee Ye-rin, but I do know she's (unsurprisingly) got a lot of love on GWM and elsewhere on the forums. And I also found (and loved) this sweet clip of her from Muscle & Fitness Korea.



Familiar? She should be. This very pic of WBFF Fitness stunner Melissa Le Man featured here on FMS during our week of female muscle and cars. Is this how images achieve "iconic" status - getting posted again and again by lazy bloggers?!



Now here's someone new. "Kathleen", as she is identified, appears to have all the female muscle next door credentials, and proves - as if proof were necessary - that you don't need to be famous to get big love from the female muscle brethren.



Being big helps though. Size, it appears, really does matter! This is Swedish Amazon Emelie Fredriksson and yes, that shaker is a normal size - it just looks tiny because she's holding it. You can see more apparent optical illusions on Emelie's Instagram.



And we finish our first installment of our GWM Love survey with the magnificently massive Jessica Sestrem, and the divine definition of Diana Schnaidt.

When Wendy Met Merle

So, a man walks into a bar...



And immediately says to himself, This is the greatest bar I've ever been to.



Wendy Watson and FMS fave Merle Mohr seem to have been hanging out together quite a bit in recent months, and in the process turning whatever venue they're frequenting into the greatest ever. I'd like to think that if I was lucky enough to be out for the evening and find myself in the same place as these two glamorous muscle goddesses that I would be all cool and stuff, but I suspect however hard I tried to hold it together, I'd instantly be reduced to a tongue-tied quivering wreck.



Better enjoyed from the comfort of my own home, for sure. And I'm particularly enjoying Wendy and Merle's choices of outfit. Classy, but they're also showing off those arms, shoulders and backs to (no doubt) devastating effect wherever they may be.



Great to see Merle back and (apparently) planning to compete again. I believe she disappeared for a while due to some health problems, but she's looking as big and gorgeous as ever. Those eyes and that chest certainly haven't got any less arresting.

Wendy featured only last week as one of the great fat to fit transformations (in She's Not Like Everybody Else), and previously after the 2013 NPC Nationals.

Both ladies are on Instagram but you'll need to request the follow. Wendy here, Merle here. So behave yourself and you will probably get to see them the next time they get together without having to actually be there, a tongue-tied quivering wreck.

BODYBUILDER! Moe's Muscular

OK, hands up who else fully expected Mmmmonique Jones to walk off with the Omaha Pro title last weekend. I mean, I don't know anything about judging and stuff, but as I mentioned earlier in the week, of the ten women on that stage, only Monique had previously won a pro show, so if you think about how these things usually go - bodybuilders, female or male, who win something tend to win again and again - you see where I got the idea. And it wasn't just me thinking along those lines. One preview of the show confidently predicted that it will be Monique Jones and everyone else, and furthermore that even an 80% Monique could walk away with the win.



But the main reason why I expected her to win was that I follow her Instagram, and amid all the inspirational quotes and amusing picture captions (she's a bit of a one for that sort of thing) her progress pics had been jaw-to-the-floor-worthy for some time before the show. It takes size to win, and Mmmmonique always has plenty of that, but it also (they tell me) takes conditioning. And to my untrained eye it seemed that Mmmmonique had been all conditioned and ready as hell for weeks.



Check out that back. Take your time, click on the thumbnails, have a good hard look, you shouldn't rush your admiration of such monumental muscle. In fact it's so wide the single "a" doesn't really do it justice. It's not a "back" but a "baaaaaaaaaack". Words failed me when I first saw the pictures, they're failing me now, and they probably always will do whenever I revisit them in future (they went quick snap to the "Special Favourites" folder, naturally). I don't know about you but I am in full swoon.



Granted, Mmmmonique's back - sorry, her baaaaaaaaaack - is kind of a given when it comes to swoonworthiness, but in the past she'd lacked ever so slightly against the very top women when it came to the leg department. But this time around those lusciously long pins (at over 5'7" - 1.75m - she is taller than most of the big girls) looked both bigger and more chiselled than I remembered seeing them before.



Clearly, Mmmmonique had been putting in the work - and not just with the heavy shizzle, either. Stretching, for example. As an aside from the main event here I just want to have a little dig at those of the "I am sexually attracted to female bodybuilders but I am derisive at the same time because all they do is take steroids" brigade (which, rather annoyingly, seems to be growing in number every day on the boards and so on). Look at the effort, hell, look at the position she has got that mighty physique into. I wouldn't care to comment on whether Mmmmonique (or any other female bodybuilder) was using certain substances or not, but I will say that it seems to take a whole lot more than just "using" to achieve a body as spectacularly thrilling as hers.



Anyway, back to Mmmmonique. In a lift, days before Omaha. If I had got into that lift they would have had to clean me up with a mop and bucket because I would have just melted. Like chocolate. Or something. And it was these images that led me to get a post all ready to go with her as the winner. This isn't a diatribe against another poor judging decision - I couldn't be happier about the result - but because Mmmmonique came second that post has morphed into one about why I thought she was going to win.

After the show, she was as philosophical as ever. What truly matters to me more than winning is to have that individual approach you and tell you how much of a positive inspiration you have been for them, she wrote. Impacting on others is my biggest reward and always keeps me motivated to do more within this sport.



And she's been making that impact on many many others, both as one of the sport's inspirational elite and, more personally, as a coach to the women she calls "my girls". They call me "Momma Moe", she says. Not because I'm old (because I'm totally not) but because they trust me and look up to me. I try to be as good a role model as I can for them. I have their best interest at hand. They also know I'm honest, tell it like it is and never sugarcoat anything. That's just tough love! I love what I do and it shows.



And even more than Wings of Strength and Mr Gardner, the thing that keeps female bodybuilding alive is love like Mmmmonique's. Gigantic. A big BIG love.
