There's no longer-running female muscle blog from the UK than PumpItUp, and, if you've ever spent a bit of time there, you'll be well aware that PumpItUp knows a great set of abs when he sees one. So FMS is delighted to add one of our hero's personal favourites, as well as the favourite of several other readers, to our list of Abs Queens.

Karen's name always seems to come up when a female muscle head starts a discussion along the lines of 'Who has the best abs ever?' despite her physique being more figure than bodybuilding. I guess there is just something so aesthetically pleasing about her eight-pack that even the most hardened fans of the 'big girls' have to admit, in the abs department at least, Karen was and will always be, one of the greats. I think my abs are my best body part, she once said. It's impossible to disagree.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Her motivation was the contest. I enjoy everything about training for a competition, she said. I set goals for myself and like the challenge of reaching those goals. I get a thrill out of seeing my body change as I get tighter and leaner with the strict diet. I can't wait to get on stage to show off all my hard work. Hard work that got her a pro card at the 2005 NPC Nationals and which, allied to her good looks, made her, for a while, one of the most sought-after models by female muscle websites. And while she pursued her career as an 'international fitness model' Karen was, like Melinda McNabb, the first of our Abs Queens this week, a mother.

And if Karen was one of your favourites too, you'll probably find a lot more of what you like over at PumpItUp, but in the meantime, here's a little clip of this yummy muscle mummy's magnificent abs at their contest-ready best.

YAXENI ORIQUEN

El Mariachi, another female muscle blogger, and long-time FMS supporter, votes, unsurprisingly, for the woman he pays tribute to more than any other. Although there are many FBBs with abs which are really deep cut, to me, the most perfect and orgasmic abs I've ever ADMIRED still belong to Yax!!! Her abs just make my mouth water, he says. And much more besides no doubt.

imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com

We say that you have to hand it to a woman who has been at the top of her sport for so long, competing at the highest level for over fifteen years, and in the the last ten of those consistently finishing in the top three at both the Ms International and Ms Olympia, winning the former five times, and the latter once, in 2005.

imagebam.com

And El Mariachi's devotion to 'Yax' has been no less consistent than her contest results. She can probably be sure of two things in this world - she'll finish behind Iris Kyle, and El Mariachi will remain devoted to her. Whether it's via his blog Erotic Female Muscles, or his youtube channel, other women (make him) cum and go, but Yaxeni has always been, and probably will always be, his number one. Yaxeni is ABSolutely spermalicious!!! he says. Take a closer look at her midsection. Each abdominal muscle is so full and so delineated. Love that deep valley cutting through the very lowest part of her abdominal wall. You could lose your car keys in those ab cuts. I would LOVE to play with the ridges of her deeply tanned abs, and run my hands all over to feel their hardness.

So, careful with your car keys, and enjoy El Mariachi's personally edited tribute to Yaxeni's mighty abs, made after the Ms International this year. He describes it as a 30-second orgasm with nothing but our spermalicious Venezuela breed muscle cum queen and her abs in close-up.

Swell Pick:
JOHANNA DEJAGER

imagebam.com

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Nicknamed 'Blonde Bomber', and a competitive bodybuilder for the best part of fifteen years, Johanna prided herself on being 'Naturally Built', giving her old website the title of her bodybuilding philosophy. Her biceps were rightly-renowned for both their size and shape, but Swell always loved her abs just as much, if not more.

imagebam.com

Her obvious genetic gifts were, she thought, enhanced by a childhood on a dairy farm, and it's easy to imagine her building up her arms by carrying heavy old milk churns around. How this background helped her in the abs department is less obvious, but Swell can certainly imagine the stunningly-beautiful Johanna in her Daisy Dukes as a dream farm girl - for a female muscle head anyway!

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Johanna always seemed to be in a permanently ripped state, which, given the sheer number of contests she competed in (many of them drug-tested) is probably not surprising. But it's one thing to have ripped abs, and quite another to develop the kind of deep deep ridges of muscle that Johanna brought to the party.

imagebam.com

I believe anyone can obtain their desired look naturally through planned nutrition and exercise, she once said. And after many many years of competing as an amateur, Johanna became a pro in 2008, then made just one appearance (winning the lightweight class at the 2009 Ms International) before retiring.

And here's a taste of Johanna and her sexational six-pack from her old website...

As I'm a greedy man, and as I mentioned yesterday, it's not easy choosing just one Abs Queen, and anyway, it is my blog, so I'm going to give myself another pick today...

Swell Pick:
BONNY PRIEST

imagebam.com

Flexing off with Melinda McNabb for the title of Texas Abs Queen, Bonny Priest wanted to be a bodybuilder from a very young age, getting her mother to buy her muscle magazines from about the age of ten or eleven. I thought those girls were so cool. I would look at the mags for hours everyday "dreaming" that someday I could be like that. Never thinking that someday I would be on the pro stage myself.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

But she did make it, winning the NPC USA Championships in 2003 after five years of competing, and thereafter appearing at four Ms Olympias, her best placing 4th in 2006 behind Iris Kyle, Dayana Cadeau and Annie Riveccio. But Bonny was under no illusions as to what the future held for female bodybuilding. In 2004, she said, there doesn't seem to be much of a future for women's bb'ing. She continued to compete until 2007, but as a gym co-owner (with her husband), she had something to fall back on once she had hung up her posing suit.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

I'm never quite sure if it really is the abs that I love about Bonny or whether it's the total package of muscle, beauty and oodles of sex appeal, but you never forget your first eight-pack, so that alone justifies her inclusion on our list.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Bonny once said, I absolutely love being on stage. At that point in the contest prep, I know that I look the best I've ever looked in my life. For that moment I feel more confident & happier than ever. My favorite part is the posing routine. I've worked a lot of years trying to perfect the routine and bring a little more entertainment to the audience. Decide for yourself if you think she succeeded as you watch her routine at the 2004 Ms Olympia.

Abs Queens

Last month, FMS began our third annual Abs Week with a question for the readers: Who's the Best?

A question, and, it seems, a challenge. No one has a six-pack by chance, it is one of the most obvious differences between muscle women and the 'norms', so it is hardly surprising that most of us have a 'thing' for ripped abdominals: "My favourite body part, a six pack is so sexy. I love abs!" says Cockpuncher, in a comment typical of many, and I myself have written at length about my 'Absession'.

Consequently, no one has found it easy deciding who their 'Queen of Abs' is! Even if you make the task less than impossible by creating a list of favourites rather than choosing just one, at what point do you stop? 10 can quickly become 20 then you realise you've 'forgotten' someone and suddenly you have 30 names. Then you find an old 'Abs' folder and your list grows even longer. As one reader commented, "It’s hard to know who to leave out as abs excite me so much I could probably add endlessly to the list." Nevertheless, many of you have gallantly attempted to select a handful of your favourites, and it's these women who have made our list, along with one or two FMS choices.

Our first Abs Queen this week takes us back to before the millennium and will probably be most familiar to you from one iconic WPW image in particular. Do you remember where you were and what you were doing the first time you saw this?

MELINDA McNABB

Every move that she takes you can see muscle...
(Lenda Murray, 1997)

imagebam.com imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

I must confess that I know very little about this magnificent specimen beyond the information I've gleaned from the commentary by Lenda Murray (which includes the above quotation) and her co-commentator on the clip of Melinda's routine at the 1997 NPC Nationals below. They tell us she's a Texan, and a mother.

imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com

But my lack of knowledge was never a hindrance in my appreciation of Melinda's stunning physique. Nor has it been for others it seems. One of the readers who nominated her pointed out that especially in the red bikini pic that we started with, she looked inhuman, and another described her as 'abs clad', as though her muscularity was some kind of manufactured outfit she put on for photographers.

imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

I know what they mean. In photos, Melinda's muscles do seem to have a life of their own. You can imagine each of them breathing independently, creating a pulsating mass. It's almost as if she had been dreamed up by a special effects department on a sci-fi movie. And her abs are no different. They're ripped, but then again lots of women over the years have been ripped. Few, however, have the kind of development and thickness Melinda had. A set of abdominals worthy of opening our week of best-evers.

Legs in Leggings: Sophie Arvebrink

imagebam.com

Swell has officially got it bad. Sexy Sophie Arvebrink has rapidly moved on from being my flavour of the month to my latest obsession. It's so bad that when I type out her name and press return, the word 'sexy' magically pops up before it like some kind of predictive text demon. So given that Sophie LOVES self-snapping in the gym, and LOVES wearing the kind of leggings that this week is all about, well, I just had to devote one of the days as my latest tribute to her.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

As you can see, if you haven't had time to grab a paper and have a read before hitting your local gym (local if you are local to Sophie, that is - lucky devil!) you can always catch up on the news AND get an eyeful of her ever-improving legs and butt while doing so. Now if that isn't a slice of fried gold, I don't know what is.

imagebam.com

And the more I look at this photo, the less my apparent obsession with Ms Arvebrink seems to be a problem I need to deal with and more like the best possible way to spend my life. Do you see it too? Am I imagining things here? Can I really see what I think I see? Do I need a psychiatrist, an optician, or perhaps I just need a one-way ticket to wherever Sophie is wearing these next? Help!

imagebam.com

She seems to be on a personal mission not only to find the tightest, most revealing leggings ever, but also to sculpt the cutest, tightest most delicious-looking rear on Earth. A fine ambition indeed, although what is going to happen to my blood pressure if it gets any cuter or tighter is causing me further anxiety.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Like I said before, gold.

And if you can stand any more, here's Sophie squatting. 100 kilos, 20 reps. In tight tight leggings. From behind. Watch if you dare. Swell is going for a little lie down and some therapy. Possibly not in that order.

Superior indeed.
