Summer Lovin': Baywatch?

Once, we fantasised about making a female muscle beach map of the world, sticking our pins in places where muscular beauties had been spotted on the sand or in the surf...



And I still think it's one of our better ideas!



Who among us hasn't headed to the beach on the first day of our holiday bursting with anticipation, utterly convinced this year will be the year when we finally lay our towel within sight of the muscle woman of our dreams, only to drag our (slightly burned) bums back to the airport two weeks' later, our fantasies still unfulfilled?



Knowing which beaches have been female muscle hotspots in the recent past would surely boost both your chances of sighting the unicorn and the local economy - female muscle lovers being well-known for their extravagant spending habits and all.



And so, my lovely readers, I appeal to you once again!



FMS is desperately seeking 1. nerd to make the map, and 2. spotters to send in reports of sightings (pictures would be appreciated but we'll take your word for it - after all, stashing a camera in your budgie smugglers is not the easiest thing in the world).



On reflection, perhaps a world map would be a monumental waste of time - entirely blank except for extreme concentrations in Florida, California, and Brazil. Perhaps we actually need to have three maps - one each for the coasts of those states?



Empty when I arrived, within an hour the beach was absolutely rammed!

The Chance Encounter

No, me neither.

And Lola Montez was very much in slow motion right there. Real time would have given you even less chance. And let's face it, you were hardly under pressure, were you? I mean, Lola's not REALLY sashaying down the street towards you, is she? What would you do then? What, if you were indeed capable of speech at all, would you say?



I console myself with the knowledge I am not alone.

Pics and vids is one thing, says one fellow head. Seeing them right in front of you is entirely another. Sightings in the gym are most common, and while they are always awesome occasions, they are definitely the least exhilarating. Nothing compares to a chance encounter in public. Exhilarating in the extreme. Muscle ladies get my heart pumping for sure, confides another. My breath gets short and I cannot take my eyes off of them. The desire is simply overwhelming. Ah yes! The Madness. On the extremely rare occasions that I actually see a true female bodybuilder (even at the figure level) in public, it's like my body goes into red alert and I'm stuck on that moment for at least the next couple days. It's like seeing a unicorn. Well put, sir!

Unless you live in Miami or some such and it's an every day kind of thing.



Or maybe not.

A muscle woman is something I can't prep for. It's one thing seeing hundreds of gorgeous legs, chests, glutes onscreen. I could see the same woman through hundreds of different pictures, or a dozen videos. Nothing ever readies you for when you see her in the flesh. It's the difference between watching a video of a rollercoaster, and physically RIDING one. For me, just seeing one is like an epiphany, and all attempts at maintaining my gentlemanly dignity dissolve to mush as my mouth hangs open, my eyes bulge wide, my breathing gets laboured.

Perhaps we'd be better having our chance encounter elsewhere.

Public transport, perhaps?



I mean, at least the book might give us a conversation starter, and for the time being Tina's not going anywhere, so you don't have to worry about thinking that fast.

Although I'm curious how you'd start a conversation while the object of your desire (that's Melissa Wee on the left, by the way) is using said transport as a mobile gym...



All those muscles in constant motion...

Or indeed if (like "Elana", right) she is in a female-only section of the tube!

When I see a very muscular woman, which is very rare, I lose control. I'm so attracted to the bulk, shapes, veins, and muscle that my heart races. I often, if on foot, will change direction just to see if what I'm seeing is actually what I'm seeing.



Clocking those legs on the tube only to find out they belong to the new girl in HR.

Cue not-so-chance encounters on a daily (sometimes thrice-daily) basis...

The ultimate ecstasy, or the ultimate torture?!

Due to some work commitments and Mr and Mrs Swell's now annual sojourn to the South of France (not the bit that was recently on fire, thankfully), the FMS offices are going to be closed this week, next week and the week after. Nevertheless, as always, we don't want to leave you totally FMS-less, so we've lined up 21 Reasons, one daily picture (or two or three), plus one reason why we love doing what we do, as if we were explaining it to one not so convinced of the glory of the muscular female.

HER ABS



So appealing, so aesthetically-pleasing. Evidence of lots of hard training, yes, but also of the discipline it takes to strip away the body fat and reveal them in all their (even better if veiny/ridged) glory. Amateur or Pro; Bikini, Fitness, Figure, Physique or Bodybuilding - if she's got the abs, then you can bet ol' Swell here has got the swoons.



Abs are also a way in to the mind of the female muscle denier, I reckon. Plenty of non-FBB related forum content on the subject out there: Do you like women with sexy abs? questions (as if there were un-sexy ones!), more often then not qualified with "I'm not talking bulky, bodybuilder abs" or some such nonsense. Start them out gently...



Anita Herbert, or a Figure phenom like Cydney Gillon, for example. They'll be telling you she's "too much" and right-clicking and saving-as at the same time.

I Don't Follow Bikini But...

But when Bikini comes in the form of the amazing Anita Herbert winning at the recent IFBB Fort Lauderdale Cup, I couldn't help but take a passing interest.



Write in and complain about the "downsizing of Female Muscle Slave" if you want, but after you've done that, have a good, hard look at Anita's abs, at Anita's thighs, and at how surprisingly vascular Anita's arms are. Have a good, hard look at the stunning (almost Tigersan-character-like) beauty of this Hungarian-born hardbody. Why not have a good, hard look at NPC News Online's entire gallery of Anita in Fort Lauderdale?



Then you might like to head over to Anita's Instagram.



These Bikini babes these days are at least as big as the majority of FBBs who graced the stage when I first embarked on this life of ours back in the early 80s, and I for one am not complaining about that for a minute. Not when they look like Anita anyway.



My only complaint is that they (like the even bigger Figure beauties) don't get to flex. That and the fact this win qualifies Anita for the 2017 Olympia so it might be almost a year before I get to take a passing interest in new contest pictures of her again.
