OANA IN A STUNNING POSING!

11th August was a good day to be checking YouTube for new female muscle clips. Honourable mentions to Theresa Ivancik's Shoulders Three Weeks Out (from the NPC USAs) and Redcon1's Cassandra Martin Back Workout (including sizzlingly arrogant bicep flexing), but FMS reckons the best on a very good day was this preview of the latest offering from Double Biceps starring Elena Oana Hreapca.



And that's just the preview!

The full clip runs an eye-watering thirty minutes and is available to buy from the Double Biceps website - worth a visit if only for the 20 preview pics of Oana from the video. Membership is a less expensive option, and gets you access to much of the footage from the site, but you have to wait a bit longer for the newest stuff.

That Guest Posing Routine

It's not often that I'm more excited about seeing images and video of a guest posing routine than I am at the prospect of images and video of the actual show, but the recent Omaha Pro was one of those rare occasions. I hope the fine ladies who lined up that day will forgive me, but the prospect of Elena Oana Hreapca, primed by Alina Popa, strutting her considerable stuff on the stage there was just too tantalising, especially given the shape she was in a couple of weeks before her appearance.

And though expectations were ridiculously high, she didn't disappoint.



Starting by taking stuff off. And quickly. The song may have been You Can Leave Your Hat On, but hers was off before the end of the first verse had faded and the chorus kicked in. There wasn't much "tease" in the strip, she didn't hang about.




The body was out. And it suddenly made perfect sense why she wasn't keen to keep it covered up. All the best bits you expect from Oana were there. The upper body, the abs, the ABS!!! But Alina had done her work. This was a whole new level for Oana. Legs. Not the first thing you think of when you think of Oana, but they were stunning. Those calves! So BIG!!! She faces rear, and it's breathtaking. The thickness. The meat on her. And the detail! Striations on her glutes! She was spectacular.

Would she have won the contest if she'd entered it?

I wouldn't like to say, but the general opinion is that, yes, she would have been, in all probability, as Michelle Neil used to say in her day, hard to keep out of the top 1.

But one thing is certain. No one comes close to Oana in the abs department.

No one is even in the same postcode.




I need to see video, was my first thought. I NEED to see video...

And courtesy of one of the WPD competiors at the show, my prayer was answered.

Size Matters: Oana Hreapca x20, in Motion, and a Brief Explanation of Time

Last month FMS reported that Oana Hreapca was working towards an appearance at the Omaha Pro (see Hot and Hard 100 Countdown 10-1). She was not, as was rumoured, preparing to compete, but to perform as a Guest Poser. The idea, supported by Wings of Strength and championed by Alina Popa was, according to Alina, to get more exposure for the judges to European physiques now that there are no more pro qualifying shows organized in Europe for female bodybuilders. And ultimately the hope is that Elena can get her pro card and compete in the US.

Now, owing to the fact that I compile these posts in advance - just over a week before you're going to read it - from my point of view, the Omaha Pro takes place "next weekend". From your point of view though, it's already happened.

Professor Stephen Hawking, sadly, was unavailable for comment, but I believe that what we have here is nothing less than a time warp!

Anyway, no guest posing routine then, but what I can tell you is that Vol.10 of Oana Hreapca's work with Female Bodybuilders/Double Biceps recently became available, 33 minutes of gym time with Oana as she prepared for her North American stage debut.

Here's all twenty of the preview pics they have put up to tempt you to part with your hard-earned. To be honest, one would probably have sufficed (for me the one where she's hitting the most muscular) but I sure am glad they decided to use so many!

Clip of the Week

ULTIMATE MUSCLE LOVE

From my new favourite YouTube channel, the prolific and original Fran Muscle, our Clip of the Week is an edit that is short, sweet, and above all ridiculously sexy, a riot of biceps and muscle worship set to the White Stripes' Fell in Love with a Girl.

FMS fave Tarna Alderman features among the cascade of women in the breathless opening sequence, and there's even a brief but beautiful sight of Dani Reardon backstage, her perfect abs all oiled and tanned. Oana Hreapca dominates the middle section, big and beautiful, muscles popping, bulging, stretching her skin, Oana lovingly adoring herself as well as being muscle worshipped by her sister, Julieta Fit.

But beautifully put together as that all is, it's when the music stops - at around the 1.50 mark - that the clip ceases to be merely great and enters the realm of genius.

Peaks of the Day: The Look of Love

It doesn't seem to matter whether they've just started their mission to muscle or they're a big name fbb with years of growth behind them. If photographic evidence is anything to go by, muscular women just can't get enough of their own biceps.



And why not? Even if the woman in question is more naturally muscular than most, she still needs to do her curls. Even if certain substances are used, those peaks aren't going to rise if she spends her time sat on the sofa watching The Jeremy Kyle Show.



And when she's doing those curls, focusing her thoughts into the muscle, isn't it the done thing to look at it? She's willing it to grow before her very eyes, watching it get bigger, thicker, fuller and peakier with every rep. Yes, Dani! Do it! Grrrrrrr!



But apparently exercising the muscle isn't the only time she wants (needs?) to see it at its proudest. Any excuse will do. Take Mona Muresan (below) - is it just me or is Mona getting a bit emotional about that (highly impressive) peak of hers?



Look at the camera, Marcie... Look at the camera real quick... Just wanna get one shot into camera Marcie... Looking great, Marcie... eyes to camera now...



I wonder if the amount of time spent in loving gaze is in any way proportionate to the size of the muscle. Does the self-adoration grow as the muscle does? To find out you'd have to spend a lot of time with women of varying levels of muscularity and record in detail how often they checked out their own flexed biceps. Then watch how this changes as they grow... Someone should do that. I should do that. As soon as I'm done with this post, I think I'll make an application for funding from The Pennypacker Foundation. I'd have to study a lot of them to get truly definitive results. I'd have to study a lot of them over a long period of time to gather sufficient evidence.

I might need some volunteers to help out...

But not with Oana. I'll study Oana myself thank you very much.

Her absness cropped up this year at the World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation's Austrian Championships and (I think) found herself in a field of one. However, she didn't seem to mind and looked as thick and gorgeous as ever.

GILLIAN WARD


Former gymnast, dancer and martial artist Gillian Ward has had quite a first year as a Physique competitor. I am intensely driven and truly believe that I am capable of anything that I put my mind to, she says. Well, believe! She won her first ever contest in April, and by the end of August had won open and over 35 classes at the North Americans and was promptly awarded her pro card. I know nothing other than being strong, says Gillian, in reference to her athletic achievements both past and present. I very much enjoy it. Being strong makes me feel capable and empowered.

The next Brazilian female muscle sensation off the rank, Selma Labat also graduated to the pros in 2014. We haven't been able to find too many images of Selma's triumphs, but we have managed to find her routine from the Brazilian Championships.

Isn't it good to know that somewhere there's a federation where hardcore female muscle is still appreciated? The NAC judges its "Physique" women on muscular development, muscular proportions, symmetry of development, and muscular definition, allowing the biggest hardest woman to win every time. Monia Gioiosa was that big hard woman in 2011 and 2012, and won for the third time this year.

She's a loving wife, a Krav Maga expert, a rare beauty and now an IFBB Physique pro. Twana caught our attention earlier in the year and has held it tight ever since. Has there been a woman in 2014 who has enjoyed her stage experience more than TBF?

She'd been MIA since 2012, so it was great to see the legendary Sheila Bleck return to competition in 2014, bringing her trademarks - incredible conditioning and the captivating artistry of her posing - back with her. She won the Tampa Pro and consequently qualified for her fourth Ms Olympia, where she finished 7th.
