I thought she was looking amazing in the lead up to the show. And actually, so did she.



Anyone can slap on a sexy outfit and feel like a million bucks, but very few people feel beautiful in nothing but the skin they are in, she wrote. I built this body and I will show it off as much as I damn well please. Favorite look and hairstyle to date. Best physique to date. I'm feeling more beautiful and satisfied than ever before.



Clearly, Megan Elizabeth Colvin would be taking to the Jr. USAs stage as relaxed and confident with the package she was bringing as any. Let's go out and have some FUNNN! she suggested to her WPD sisters, showing off her abs after checking in.



I thought she'd been looking amazing in the lead up to the show, but seeing her glammed and tanned and having that funnn on stage took my breath away (quite literally), the swoonometer up to 11, and the best part of two hours out of my day!




I find myself stuck on these images again now, days after I first saw them. She is, before we even get onto the muscles, absolutely gorgeous, and - though I'm well-aware there are those who disagree - for me the "wild child" styling (the funky hair, the piercings, the tats) accentuate her beauty even more. I don't adore muscle women because I go for the mainstream look; Megan's "alternativeness" is very much part of her appeal. But mostly it's about the muscles. The "melon delts" and the "thick, meaty pecs" that many other forum heads have drooled over, but top to toe Megan's made herself so hard and thick now that quite frankly I get so overwhelmed I don't know where to look.



Megan won her class, of course she did - despite no little competition from outstanding amateur Physique competitors like Tia Douglass and Ashley Bowman, and though she didn't, in the end, win the Overall (which was awarded to Emily Schubert, as we saw on Tuesday), 2nd Overall bagged Megan the other pro card that was on offer.



Two very different physiques, and two very different looks, but if Emily and Megan represent the future of Physique, I'd say the division has a very sexy future indeed.

AMY NEELANDS: WITNESS THE THICKNESS



She has a private IG account (I'm still hoping to be accepted as follower #320), so there's not much I can tell you about Amy other than that she describes herself as a "giant foody", "photographer" and "bodybuilder" in that order. She also says she is a "rock & roll, hillbilly delux with a nice pick 'em up truck!" Some of which I understand. Anyway, none of that hits the nail on the head like one forum poster did in his comment on the above pic: Absolutely gorgeous meaty tattooed beast! Indeed.

MIREA HENRIQUEZ: FULLY PUMPED



Right now, with her next contest (Olympia Amateur Spain) fast approaching, Dutch Physique star Mirea is posting a truly awe-inspiring pic per day - sometimes several. We had to choose one, so we did - partly because it gives the viewer such a great angle from which to fully appreciate the thickness of her pecs, partly because of the wide, intense eyes, and partly because of those veins exploding all over her forehead.

ROSIE HARTE: (MUSCLE) PIT LICKIN' GOOD



Just over a year ago, ol' Swell here was confessing his sthenolagnia had taken a somewhat maschalagniacal turn, ie. I was into "muscle pits". Not armpits as such, but something better, MUCH better - a confluence of muscle, a glorious meeting of bicep, delt, lat and pec. Rosie seems to have brought out the feeling again. I'm even enjoying deluding myself that Rosie read that post then made this picture just for me!

MEGAN ELIZABETH COLVIN: BODY ART



First of all, let me say that I think Megan, aka "Miss Mightyy Mouse" is absolutely gorgeous, and she has great hair. Nevertheless, this upper body close-up literally made me gasp when I first saw it last week, so if you want to check how gorgeous she is and see her magnificent mane for yourself, you'll have to check her Instagram. Before you do though, take a very good gander at those hard abs, those veiny (and thrillingly pointy) pecs, and last but not least those mightyy traps and shoulders... Megan is doing an amazing job at filling the hole in my life left by Sierra Mangus' step back from the limelight. What's that? The tats are "too much", are they? Well, fine. It's your loss.

TOKS MACAULAY: CONTEST READY



I'm no expert, but I doubt very much this particular pic is 100% natural, but anyway, WOW! Judging by the posing suit (and the shredz), Toks was not about to go on stage at a contest with any IFBB links, and all the better for it - why shouldn't the ladies display all the muscles they've worked so hard for, especially ones that look so good?

Beginning our selection of one-armed wonders today, a woman with muscle who - surely! - nobody can object to. Ladies! Do you worry that lifting weights will somehow make you "manly"? Think again. Gentlemen! Are you still of the (out-dated) opinion that muscular women "look like men"? Allow Vanessa to re-align your perception.

MICHELLE VJACOBO



Michelle is currently preparing for competition in her native Mexico. Happiness and tranquility is found in the domain of pain, she recently wrote. She looks happy enough here. So that beautiful boulder must be hurting. Anyone up for kissing it better?

JESSICA TOMLINSON



A former kickboxer and IT specialist, Milton Keynes-based fitness trainer Jessica (or Jessie) has just started appearing on the forums, so we thought we'd jump on the bandwagon. Looks like a skinny Michaela Aycock, says one forum poster, which may or may not be intended as a compliment. Jessica has competed in the past, but work and being the mother of three is keeping her plenty busy at the moment.

LEVIE NACIONAL HAMAD



Awesome girl. Where is she from? a curious fan demands to know. Where indeed her origins lie remains a bit of a mystery, but what we do know is that these days Levi can be found in Dubai, where she offers personal and rehab training services in between working on her own body and being almost ridiculously positive on her Instagram.

For an altogether darker ride, try "The Original Miss Mightyy Mouse", a former Figure turned Physique competitor - feature video on her YouTube channel has the title My Struggle with Self-Worth. Her seven-year transformation from skinny and average to thick and thrilling suggests to me that Megan Elizabeth is overcoming her struggle daily. I will get my pro card and get to the Olympia stage, she says. Believe.

ARIELLE BAKER



Arielle calls herself an "Athlete & Influencer", which sounds a bit made up to me, but then she's got 15,000 followers and I've got, er, 76 signed up readers here - and I LOVE you all! - so she would probably win an influencing duel, so who am I to judge? She also, reassuringly, calls herself a "Bodybuilder", and on this evidence I have zero complaints about that. She's got the goods and she knows it, reckons one Arielle devotee. She's also - amazingly - got four children! I would really look forward to parent-teacher evenings if one of hers was classmates with one of mine.

ANNIE LEMAY



At first sight I thought that Ottawa's Annie Lemay had found employment as one of those sign people - without the sign, more of a pointer. I thought that was perhaps the worst employment decision ever, I mean surely everybody would just gather round Annie and stare in lust and awe rather than go in the direction suggested. In fact, this is how Annie "celebrated" finishing her exams - "with some back and bis". Dreamy.
