FMS@RP2017: ¡Viva Virginia!

A 4th place in Tampa hadn't initially been enough to qualify Spain's most muscular for the Rising Phoenix, but after the shenanigans detailed in our Wings of Strength Goes Wild post, Virginia's name had been added to the list. A most popular addition too.



I truly love Virginia, her physique is amazing, wrote one of her devotees during the Rising Phoenix build-up, a sentiment shared by many. I've talked with her on webcam and she is a very nice lady, he added. A couple times she invited me to Spain, but I don't think my wife would like that. Indeed. OK with the webcam chats though?



Others noted how spectacular Virginia can look before a contest but not so spectacular when stage time arrives, a point we've made here before. Her physique always looks unreal and almost unbeatable, says one. Every time I see an image of her, she looks closer and closer to being one of the most dominant competitors on the scene until... she's on stage and is dwarfed by some of the other girls and I realize she actually isn't as big as she looks. Still, her arms are massive and her back is phenomenal.



Maybe she's got better at hiding her flaws and getting the judges to focus on that phenomenal back and those dreamy arms because she still looked ridiculously big and unbeatable before, but less so next to the competition in Scottsdale. However, that 4th in Tampa and a very popular 5th here (plus the 3rd place award for her pre-routine video presentation) makes for easily her most successful professional year to date. Result: she's sponsored for 2018, and pre-qualified for the next Rising Phoenix.




Un año triunfal, as they say in Madrid. I'm so happy, she wrote after the show, one of the few-and-far-between occasions she has posted on her Instagram in English.



After the show some photo shoots, and then it was back home. About to scare the living mierda out of the person who's waiting patiently for that lift to arrive...

Yes, coverage. I'm not full-time at this, you know. This is what I do in my spare spare time. Reporting 24 hours after a show finishes is just not what this blog is about. Let me source the photos. Let me mull over what has transpired before I give you the benefit of my ill-informed opinion. But allow me to whet your itchy appetite further...



Watched the live stream I did. Magnificent stuff, and as a side note, I had never quite realised just what a she-hulk Heather Grace is until I did. She looked vast next to (almost all) the other competitors. And here she is, working her beefy back.



Virginia, Heather and all the rest at the Rising Phoenix and Arizona Pro 2017 next week on FMS. Starting tomorrow. If you can wait that long. If not, well, there are plenty of other places with all the coverage your itchy heart could possibly desire.

Size Matters: Virginia Walks the Walk

Check out the dude on the crosstrainer. Imagine it's you. She's coming towards you. How would you feel? Every booming step is bringing her closer. Your heart pounds in your chest. You're light-headed. You can't look away but your eyes can't focus on any particular piece of her massive, muscular body. The rush of The Madness comes so strong you nearly pass out and a tiny, breathless moan escapes from your mouth...

In the City of Love...

Paris, 30th January 2016, at the Golden Tulip Hotel near Charles De Gaulle Airport you could - no doubt - feel the love. Not since the days of the legendary New York Muscle Club have female muscle fans had the opportunity to experience anything like this...



The women arrived first for a short briefing, then the fans arrived and they had five minutes to talk with the women and introduce themselves. Then the women started warming up, the photos started, the fans were amazed. And then the show started...



And it was a BIG show. From France, there was the wrestler Eva Damoh and bodybuilder Laurence Prévot. From Spain, Virginia Sanchez Macias in massive off season shape. There was soon-to-be star of the screen Irene Andersen, the gargantuan 6'0" American Jayne Stark, new British sensation Maz Burn, and the mighty Russian powerlifter Anna Khudayarov. And last but by no means least there was Margie Martin, Ms Rising Phoenix herself, gone all the way to Paris for the fans!

Little wonder they were "amazed".



The show started with posing, and then lift and carry, a wrestling demo, push-ups, and more posing. The women performed for the fans for three hours, and at the end, the girls danced. It was amazing, simply the best thing we had ever seen!



Now I'm pretty sure that if at that point it had been thank you and good night the female muscle head punters would have left pretty damn satisfied. But though the "show" may have been over, the night, it turns out, had only just begun...



We all went down to the lobby of the hotel for posing in the hotel entrance, and then went to eat at the restaurant. The girls were tall, big, full, huge, beautiful and remarkable, which caused quite a stir and a lot of discussion among the other diners! Then we all ate together before going to the bar to have some Mojitos.



All in all the fans spent around eight hours with the women.



The Greatest Show on Earth? I very much doubt any of the fans went home feeling they hadn't got their Euros worth. It sounds - and at this point I should say the description of the day is written by the organiser himself, but I have absolutely no reason to doubt it's accuracy - an absolute triumph, far surpassing even the New York Muscle Club events in size, duration, and interaction with the women.



Congratulations to Daily FBB Clips for putting on the show and making it such a triumph. The next opportunity for fans to Mojito with the Massive will be in Cologne to coincide with this year's FIBO, and there are plans to have future events in the USA.



I imagine the boys and girls who got up close and personal with the women at the first Daily FBB Show still haven't come down yet. Imagine the LOVE there must have been in the room! Appropriate then to be reporting on this historic event this week - the week of St. Valentina. We shall be riffing on the theme (love) all week on FMS.

A professional chef who is "funnier than you", and, in my opinion, a woman who can smell the emerging hot fan dream female muscle talent a mile off. Shannon? Tanya was in there before anyone else. Dani? Same again. Plenty of both on her website. Did you know she was born in Australia? Was news to me. And it looks like Tanya's got a grow on. Maybe hanging out with Shannon and Dani is pushing her that little bit more. Maybe it's just all part of the Hyde masterplan for physique domination.
