EVERYBODY LOVES IRIS



An inspiraton to Europe. Love for Iris from this side of the Atlantic Ocean from, above left, the mouth-watering (and next to Iris, it has to be said, miniscule-looking) Mmmmavi Gioia, and, above right, Nora Girones and one of her Spanish guns.
Iris certainly has a firm grip on Nora, it seems, and who can blame her?



Love from the Queen of Denmark as Helle Nielsen, now Helle Trevino (sniff sniff), gets up close and personal with the Queen of Female Muscle (above). And below left, Brigita Brezovac, happily compares biceps and receives the Kyle squeeze.



And yes, we are, until the UKIP nutters force the Tories to make it otherwise, proud to count ourselves as Europeans too! MEP (Muscular European Princess) Sharon Madderson picks Iris' brains on whether we should join the Eurozone or not during the period when there was still a debate about it. At least I think Iris' insights into the monetary issues of the day is why the boys there are paying so much attention...


KYLE BY NUMBERS

At the time of writing, her Instagram page had 11,846 followers.



It took Iris five goes at the Ms International before her first win (in 2004), and six attempts at the Ms Olympia before she won her first Overall title (also in 2004).
In her next seventeen appearances at these two shows, she only failed to win on two occasions - the 2005 Ms Olympia, and the 2008 Ms International.


IRIS SEZ...



[As I waited backstage before my first show] I thought, "Am I really going to walk on stage in a bikini, in front of an audience of strangers, and pose?" I knew it was too late to back down, so I adjusted my oversize posing suit and went for it. [After I'd won] I thought I’d just conquered the world!

DEM CALVES DOE!




In 2010, they were reported to be 18-inches of perfect shape, proportion and (come contest time) definition. Iris' calves began their prodigious development when she was a teenage cross-country runner, long before she took up bodybuilding.

KYLED HARD FACT OF THE DAY



In 2008, Iris appeared on the American version of the show Wipeout. She broke "several ribs" in the process, and was repeatedly referred to as "he" by one of the show's hosts. When the popularity of the episode led the producers to invite Iris to appear again, she declined. Only partly because of the possibility of another injury!

The episode is available on YouTube, but UK viewers (like me) can't watch it!

I'm pretty certain I've posted this gem of a pic before on FMS at some point in the past, because I LOVE Iris in this pic. A gorgeous muscular woman in a gorgeous dress.

KYLE BY NUMBERS



In her career as a pro, Iris competed in thirty shows. But just two were neither the Ms International nor the Ms Olympia. In 1999, she finished 2nd at the World Pro Championships (Laura Binetti was the champ), and in 2002 Yaxeni Oriquen beat Iris to the heavyweight title at the Show of Strength Pro Championships.

I've watched a few contest clips of Iris over the past week or so, and it's noticeable how often the first thing the commentators tend to go focus on is Iris' incredible shoulders.



Whether flexed or relaxed (as they are in the pic of Iris with Vera Mikulcova, above) and no matter what shape she is in, the bulk and curves of her delts never fail to be less than breathtaking, so it's no surprise they are the first thing commentators mention.



And it wouldn't be any surprise if looking at Iris' pumped up delts in the selfies below made you get a right big swoon on, because that's what they do to me - especially the pic on the right where her mighty muscle is bulging right out of her T. WOW!

FBB EBONY vs IRIS KYLE - 2014

Other than the fact that Iris Kyle is indeed in the clip, the title is completely misleading. She isn't wrestling any "FBB Ebony" here. Her opponent (which is also a misleading term, because this is hardly a contest) is male and very very white. Furthermore, there is no way this is from 2014 (although it was uploaded this year!).

However, it's inaccurate title doesn't mean it isn't worth watching!

I had no idea Iris did this sort of thing, but she was clearly enjoying herself...

Iris says that Thai food and steamed rice is her favourite meal.

And as a "cheat treat"? Swiss chocolate (she is very clear about it being Swiss), brownies (probably made with Swiss chocolate), and yoghurt.



Man next to Iris: (thinks) Unless her food arrives soon she's going to eat ME!

While Iris' lower body and back, quite rightly, receive so much attention, the magnificent curves of her biceps are truly two of the wonders of the female muscle world. Mathematicians are, I believe, currently studying said parabola in the hope that it will reveal something about the way the universe curves at its extremes.

Iris has five siblings. Four brothers and one sister.




Iris was 23 years old when she won her pro card at the 1998 NPC USAs, and 29 when she won her first pro title at the 2004 Ms International.


IRIS SEZ...



To keep the body in good health is a duty, otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear. All action is of the mind, and the mirror of the mind is the face, its index the eyes. Remember there is but one temple in the universe and that is the body.



It is better to be hated for what you are, than loved for what you are NOT.



Using expressions like 'I should have' is just a way of punishing yourself after the fact. Stop it or you will ruin the possibles. Live in the present and move forward. Don’t drag the past along for an unnecessary ride.
