AMY NEELANDS: WITNESS THE THICKNESS



She has a private IG account (I'm still hoping to be accepted as follower #320), so there's not much I can tell you about Amy other than that she describes herself as a "giant foody", "photographer" and "bodybuilder" in that order. She also says she is a "rock & roll, hillbilly delux with a nice pick 'em up truck!" Some of which I understand. Anyway, none of that hits the nail on the head like one forum poster did in his comment on the above pic: Absolutely gorgeous meaty tattooed beast! Indeed.

MIREA HENRIQUEZ: FULLY PUMPED



Right now, with her next contest (Olympia Amateur Spain) fast approaching, Dutch Physique star Mirea is posting a truly awe-inspiring pic per day - sometimes several. We had to choose one, so we did - partly because it gives the viewer such a great angle from which to fully appreciate the thickness of her pecs, partly because of the wide, intense eyes, and partly because of those veins exploding all over her forehead.

ROSIE HARTE: (MUSCLE) PIT LICKIN' GOOD



Just over a year ago, ol' Swell here was confessing his sthenolagnia had taken a somewhat maschalagniacal turn, ie. I was into "muscle pits". Not armpits as such, but something better, MUCH better - a confluence of muscle, a glorious meeting of bicep, delt, lat and pec. Rosie seems to have brought out the feeling again. I'm even enjoying deluding myself that Rosie read that post then made this picture just for me!

MEGAN ELIZABETH COLVIN: BODY ART



First of all, let me say that I think Megan, aka "Miss Mightyy Mouse" is absolutely gorgeous, and she has great hair. Nevertheless, this upper body close-up literally made me gasp when I first saw it last week, so if you want to check how gorgeous she is and see her magnificent mane for yourself, you'll have to check her Instagram. Before you do though, take a very good gander at those hard abs, those veiny (and thrillingly pointy) pecs, and last but not least those mightyy traps and shoulders... Megan is doing an amazing job at filling the hole in my life left by Sierra Mangus' step back from the limelight. What's that? The tats are "too much", are they? Well, fine. It's your loss.

TOKS MACAULAY: CONTEST READY



I'm no expert, but I doubt very much this particular pic is 100% natural, but anyway, WOW! Judging by the posing suit (and the shredz), Toks was not about to go on stage at a contest with any IFBB links, and all the better for it - why shouldn't the ladies display all the muscles they've worked so hard for, especially ones that look so good?

The Year in Review: April

We started April, with the benefit of hindsight, rather too optimistically.

This was the last bit of good news there was about Marthe Sundby's health.



Sun is up, spring is on, life has never been better. Training light, eating clean, and trying to heal my body. I'll never give up. Stronger. Wiser. Tougher. Fighting back.

SWOON-A-RAMA

Caitlyn Terry was an early April Woman of the Week.



We couldn't help ourselves. Dry ab belly, claw hands, and a muddy brown tannnn... I love being a mud-coloured protein princess! Or, All I wanna do is get bigger and better. I just want delts the size of my heeeeaddddddd! The swoonometer "started smoking" midway through the post. As we signed off it was "actually on fire".

I, MASCHALAGNIAC



A love letter to female muscle pits.



Pits of plenty... A confluence, if you will, of muscle. A glorious meeting - perhaps meating? - of bicep, delt, lat and pec. Not so much armpits as muscle pits.

GOODBYE JACKIE

Only April and for the second time this year we were bidding adieu to a legend.



Like many others, I fell for Jackie during my formative female muscle lovin' years, and I found images of her demonstrating her legendary flexibility, among the first of her I saw, utterly mesmerising. They, she, will stay with me as long as I live.

CHAMPIONS



After paying tribute to a former champion, we spent the remainder of that week with champions of a more recent vintage - pros and amateurs from North, South, and Central America, Asia, Australia, and Europe, including new Chinese Figure sensation Mou Cong, and ex-Figure now Physique sensation Shanique "The Future" Grant.

MRS SWELL'S EASTER SURPRISE

OK, so Mrs Swell has surprised me by booking a two-week break to the sunshine. Love her to bits, though she can at times mistake the fact that I am self-employed for being able to take time off whenever I want. Anyway, I shall be busy buying her some new outfits for the beach before we go, and then we're away, so posts may be a bit thin, or lack the usual diligence for the next couple of weeks. But don't blame the lady.

Looking back now, if what you got over the next couple of weeks was "thin" or "lacking the usual diligence" then the standards of this blog must be higher than (even) I think.

There were some real treats in there.

Michaela of the Day

Michaela 2015 - the new pro.

She hasn't, as far as I know, done much quote unquote glamour work. She isn't on HerBiceps or Muscle Angels or any such site, and isn't likely to be down in the SheMuscle gym or letting it all hang out for Awefilms anytime soon either I would bet. Hence my little soft hard spot for this handful of pictures shot by Dan Ray.



There are those who still insist that the Physique division isn't worthy of the attention of the "serious" female muscle fan. Michaela (among others) kills that idea stone dead.

But it's not just the muscle I dig in this iconic image, it's also the intent. Look at that bum! So unnatural, so far from the norm - and she's so committed to that. Her lower back! It's like there's a couple of aliens in there trying to get out! And what's more, Michaela wants to share this with you, wants you to revel in her freakish development with her, and I don't know about you but I find that so so exciting. She is just insane, writes one, like-minded forum poster. Incredible conditioning. What a babe!



This powerhouse is intense.

As we saw on Monday (and all through the week in fact), Michaela doesn't leave much in the gym. 100% all the time every time. Compelling watching, and there are very few images of her not competing or lifting or practising her posing in the gym. Very few. She is all about the work, the process, the pursuit of her goals. And it shows.

Who doesn't love a trouser drop? Especially when there's so much to see when they've dropped. Or indeed a woman so unused to taking selfies that she consistently chops half of her face off, which somehow only makes Michaela even more endearing!

And finally...



Our most recent - at the time of writing - image of Michaela.

Still tanned from her last show, her arm apparently a similar thickness to a bull elephant's leg. And that smile, despite all her competitive disappointments this year, that says progress has been made, that says she is completely and utterly in love with her sport, with her muscles, and with herself. I love the hard stuff, as she puts it.

21 Reasons (#16)

Due to some work commitments and Mr and Mrs Swell's now annual sojourn to the South of France (not the bit that was recently on fire, thankfully), the FMS offices are going to be closed this week, next week and the week after. Nevertheless, as always, we don't want to leave you totally FMS-less, so we've lined up 21 Reasons, one daily picture (or two or three), plus one reason why we love doing what we do, as if we were explaining it to one not so convinced of the glory of the muscular female.

GUNS & AMMO

They would say they "don't mind a woman with toned arms but she is too much".

Well, judging by the collective excitement there seems to be every time some celebrity lady shows off her "ripped arms", or the too numerous to mention times our own UK TV phone babes get asked to flex for their caller's viewing pleasure, then I'd say that they may think they only like women with "toned" arms, but that it's a short walk from there to here, and a shorter walk from there to here, and before you know it you're here, and before long you (may) find yourself staring down the barrels of Flores' mighty guns...

Sweat. Sweet! (Xtra Sweat)

Yes, it's another one of those FMS posts entirely built on the toil (the sweat!) of others. Thanks to all who sent in their favourite sweaty muscle women pics, I was overwhelmed by the response, really - my inbox will never smell the same again. And the result of your efforts is a post packed with images, cascading over your screen like the sweat cascading over Madeleine Persson's perfectly perky pecs.

What a start! Look at it pouring off Asha Hadley's honed muscular body. We all knew that in a world of dedicated muscle babes Asha is more dedicated than most, but DAMN! You could fill several buckets with the sweat in the centre pic alone.

Australia's next biggest thing may not have reached the same sweat peak as Asha when this picture was taken, but you get the feeling her emissions are about to rise...

SWEATY FANNY



Scratch and Sniff* now for a blast of Fanny's sweat-soaked vest.



I wore this for a full week without changing it, says Fanny. Then it festered in the washing basket for another couple of days before I was contacted by the guys at Pennypacker industries for a sample. Stale yet deliciously ripe and fruity...

Now I've seen the clip these caps are taken from, so I know that lickable sheen on Sierra Magnus' magnificent midriff is sprayed on, but frankly, who cares?



And the lower she goes, the more lickable she gets...

FUN FROM REAR



Now here's a first on FMS, an Indonesian fbb. And she's not going to get out of the way of the TV until you have sucked up every last drop from her sweaty back. Maria Arina is her name apparently, and she looks pretty good glammed up as well - here.





Brazilian Fernanda Deporte (left) and FMS' favourite Cretan goddess Anastasia Papoutsaki (right) are both available here for your Scratch and Sniff* pleasure. Fernanda's scent is definitely the more powerful, which is not surprising because she's a powerlifter. Anastasia's is more delicate, but utterly intoxicating nonetheless.

FMS approved gymwear modelled here by yet another rising Aussie fbb, Tamika Webber. And if you are wearing this AND you are a stone cold knockout à la Tamika, that's a double thumbs up. I don't always wear this kind of revealing top in the gym, Tamika tells us with a wink. Sometimes I wear a lot less. The woman's got more pics out there that I can count, says one forum poster on the subject of Ekaterina (aka Katyuha) Kuznetsova. I get the impression that she seems to really enjoy showing off that muscle. Well, Girls with Muscle has 779 of those pics for your viewing pleasure, and yes, I also get the impression she isn't backward in coming forward to show off her hard work either. Not all those pics will get your "trapped in a sauna" fantasies raging quite so much as these (though a large majority of her pics do feature her topless or tastefully nude), nor will you find much better evidence that she's quite the exhibitionist than this groovy clip right here.

Bet that made you sweat.

THE LAST REP



And we sweat for the last time today with another of JT's finds, Dana Linn Bailey in competition with no one but herself and straining every sinew (and sweating from every pore) in the quest for one more rep than yesterday. Interesting crowd she's got watching her there. Or actually not watching. I wonder what could have possibly been more distracting than DLB at that very moment... JT is, I'm sure, already on it.
