Whether it's the pool or a (real or artifical) lake, there are cooling alternatives to the beach for the terminally land-locked when the mercury rises. Having said that though, it's hard to imagine any of these bodies truly having a cooling effect on the local environment, particularly Maria Garcia emerging Bond-girl-of-my-dreams-like from the pool in a Bikini that reveals only slightly less than no Bikini at all would.
