Hall of Fame #8

Michelle Baker in a purple dress by HerBiceps; the Abs & Thigh pose; the beautiful rears of Sophie Duquette and Debbie Muggli, as shot by Awefilms and Bill Dobbins respectively (and both C. Moore Glootz nominated); Christina Rhodes hulking out of an orange dress; Juliette Bergmann in a see-through top on a sofa; and Bernie Price at the 1990 NABBA Universe, nipple out after a wardrobe malfunction.

These are the (seven) exhibits to date in the (entirely virtual but you never know) FMS Hall of Fame, a series so in need of resurrection we'd almost forgotten it was dead.

We've gone back to the "original" format of a numbered entry and a single photo set we consider outstanding (though this is no way should be taken to mean that's the only type of thing we're looking to induct) - and chosen Heather Lee by WPW/Ray Martin.

imagebam.com

We noted on Wednesday that we thought a series of posts for the "Underrated of the Female Muscle Past" was in order, and Heather could have slipped very nicely in there, but in the end felt she was more deserving of a place in The FMS Hall of Fame.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Remember Heather Lee? Such a popular woman in her early noughties pomp, she was, with her HeatherLeeNJ.com website and multiple racy photo sets, quite the pioneering self-sufficient muscle babe. A sort of naughty Cindy Phillips before Cindy Phillips, and an online media darling whose popularity far exceeded her competitive achievements before social media made such a profile commonplace.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

But having made that decision, we were now faced with the task of selecting which of her countless photo sets would make it. There was a suggestion we should just put her entire oeuvre in, but to be honest I'm not as keen on some of her off-season shoots nor her work with HerBiceps - don't get me wrong, they are great, but they're just not quite as great as, for example, much of the stuff she did with Reg Bradford.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

In the end I plumped for the very first images I saw of her, and that's mainly because I can recall very vividly the when and the where I first saw them and the rush of excitement Heather's own unique brand of muscular sex appeal had on me.

In those days the kind of affordable internet access I enjoy now was beyond my wildest dreams, but there was plenty of internet at work. Night after night I would stay at my desk until everyone else in the office had left - I didn't have to wait long, we weren't the hardest working team in show business - before using the (super speedy for the time as no one else was using it) office web service for my own personal pleasure. Invariably this started with a search of WPW samples, the best of which I would then print (in colour - I spared no office expense). And you can probably guess what followed.

These images of Heather were among my most treasured at that time, or perhaps "most used" would be a more accurate way of describing them. She was impossibly blond, impossibly beautiful (as I still believed at that time only American women could be). I loved her below-navel tattoo, her smile, her tan, and most of all, her muscles.

imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com

Sadly, I have not been able to find (in the FMS archives or elsewhere) the original images, so these three heavily-cropped versions will have to do. In the end, I actually scored points with the management for consistently working over my contracted hours and got a pay rise out of all my late night female muscle lovin' shenanigans.

Welcome to the Hall of Fame Heather, and thank you!

Hall of Fame: Bernie's Wardrobe Malfunction

Question: What do Michelle Baker in a purple dress, Juliette Bergmann in a see through top and frilly skirt, Debbie Muggli's and Sophie Duquette's bums, Christina Rhodes in orange, and the Abs & Thigh pose have in common?

Answer: They're all in FMS' Female Muscle Hall of Fame.

Now, it's been a bit quiet on the Hall of Fame front for over a year.

Time for something new. Well, actually fairly old school.

A moment at the NABBA Universe in 1990 starring British female muscle legend (and 1992 NABBA Ms Universe) Bernadette "Bernie" Price, a posing suit that refuses to play ball, and a sight that would have scored extra points from this judge if only...

The best thing about it (for me) is that Bernie realises her right pec is au naturel quite a while before she puts it away but keeps going until she can fix it when her back is to the judges and audience. You can see the moment when she thinks about popping it back in then decides to carry on regardless. It's at about the 20-second mark - she almost pulls out of the pose, hesitating for a beat, then she continues as planned.

That's your Hall of Fame moment right there!

I only recently became aware of Bernie's pectacular performance recently, thanks to the hard work of a couple of members of the forum whose first rule is, and their knowledge and archive and their sharing of it should not go unacknowledged. So, it is with thanks to "the street fighter" for the gifs and "bigdee35" for the clip that we welcome Bernie and her glorious wardrobe malfunction to the FMS Hall of Fame.

Suggestions please!

Dressed in Muscle: Hall of Famer II

JULIETTE BERGMANN

The exotic beauty of Juliette Maria Suzanna Bergmann continues to beguile female muscle fans well over a decade since she retired. One of only three European women to have been Ms Olympia, Juliette was inducted into the (real) IFBB Hall of Fame in 2009, and given her beauty, her achievements, and enduring appeal, I think Juliette is a prime candidate for the (imaginary) FMS Hall of Fame as well.

Some of her glamorous WPW work, especially that off-the-shoulder silver dress was under consideration, and she could easily have made our 241 fest - both this gem of a pic with her bodybuilding sister Liona (top right), and an extremely elegant Juliette with Ludmila Tuboltseva made the shortlist for Tuesday's post.

imagebam.com imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

The research team also came across a couple of terrific candids. Above (bottom right), Juliette shows off a lot of quad in a leopard print number, a pic we had a lot of fun coming up with a caption for. The winner: I'm Never in Such a Hurry that I Haven't Got Time to Flex. And there was also much discussion in the office regarding this candid from (I think) an Awefilms shoot below. Do you think she's just arriving at the pool or is she packed up and leaving? Either way, she couldn't help but cause a stir looking like that. We wondered how the owner of that foot reacted to such a sight.

imagebam.com

But in the end it was this set of magazine years scans that got the Hall of Fame nod.

imagebam.com

The beauty of the youthful Juliette. A revealing but at the same time rather classy outfit. Those weights "casually" lying around in front of her. The fact that the sofa seems to have been plonked slap bang in the middle of the free weights...

imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com

Perhaps every gym should have a sofa like this. Female bodybuilders (only!) could drape themselves over it as Juliette does here, showered and ready to go out and stop traffic again. Of course, there would need to be a photographer on hand at all times to snap all the post-workout glowing and flexing. Good promotional material for the gym. There'd be a queue to sign up that stretched around the block if a young Juliette lookalike was known to be lifting there... And I reckon I'd be in it.

Enjoy!

And check out our other Hall of Fame inductees.

Dressed in Muscle: Hall of Famer I

CHRISTINA RHODES

I must have seen hundreds (if not thousands) of images of Christina in my time, and even a cursory perusal of her folder on an old hard drive revealed many of them involved her looking both excitingly huge AND beautifully glamorous in a variety of elegant dresses. But great as all of those images are, this one just blows me away.

imagebam.com

She's not so much in the dress as emerging out of it, "hulking out" as one comment on the picure at Girls with Muscle puts it. In particular, those pecs - for which she is rightly famed - appear to be expanding, pushing the fabric outwards. Stare at them for long enough and I swear you'll start to believe they are actually moving!

On solid thighs she stands, hands on hips, her delts and lats splayed. She looks right at you with a knowing, arrogant smile. She is all muscle, all power, all woman.

C. Moore Glootz's Fun from Rear

Given C. Moore's liability to be hospitalised/incarcerated for his beliefs, I feel duty bound to get in my Hall of Fame nomnominations in this period of tranquility when a speedy internet connection is readily available to me. So, on that note, viddy well my second all-time glooteal legend for your consideration: Debbie Muggli.

imagebam.com

More precisely yet, Debbie's NOOD GLOOTZ in their fullest glory as snapped by female muscle photo legend Bill "The F***ing King" Dobbins, a man who C. Moore most definitely doffs his cap to for his services to my good self's self-pleasurement.

Let us start by taking a look at Debbie at her most volcanic...

You are probably thinking how great that was. Well, yes, but also NOOOOO!

Reasons as follows...

1. Cameraman apparently under orders to NOT get close-up of Debbie's glootage.

2. Regulations re: posing suit coverage of said glootage A F***ING CRIME!

Now, compare with the work of the King...

imagebam.com

Oh, no ma'am. Bill ain't shootin' a single frame until all those clothes are well and truly popped onto that chair over there and every square millimetre of your crinkle-cut glootz have been lit the shi'ite out of. YES! YES! YES! THAT is the way to do it.

Heed the KING method if you want to be C. Moore's new photo champ. Seriously. The King even got her Popa-ness herself to pop her togs on the chair one time!!!

But back to the point. The teenage kicks C. Moore had from Debbie's glootiful rear under the direction of the Dobmeister can only be measured in gallons, I imagine. And if that isn't Hall of Fame-worthy, then please do tell C. Moore what exactly is.

C. Moore Glootz's Fun from Rear

C. Moore heard FMS was lookin' for Hall of Famers.

"Well, how 'bout the Golden Glootz of La Duquette?" thought I.

imagebam.com

Consider this C. Moore's NOMINATION #1.

The whole set kept C. Moore busy for months, but all-time fave is picture bottom right, where C. Moore sees that La Duquette isn't QUITE tanned all over.

In-croy-able!!!

imagebam.com imagebam.com

And while we are at it, C. Moore also nominates La Duquette for the following clip.

So short, and yet so very very sweet. Not to mention sticky.

C. Moore needs to wipe it up. Later my brethren!

[editor's note - FMS is happy to put both the pics and the clip into the Hall of Fame, along with Michelle Baker in purple and the Abs & Thigh pose. We appeal again to readers for their own nominations - looking forward to hearing your thoughts.]

Hall of Fame #2

When FMS asked for your nominations for the (entirely imaginary) Female Muscle Lovin' Hall of Fame (see Hall of Fame #1), we thought you would suggest, as we had, particular pictures, photo sets, and clips of your personal favourite women.

But the fact of the matter is that the very first nomination we received was not for an individual, but a compulsory pose - specifically, abdominals and thigh.

And even more surprisingly, the nomination didn't come from one of our lovely regular contributors, but from a woman who has actually hit that pose on stage - a young female competitor (who wishes to remain anonymous, for obvious reasons).

So, for your viewing pleasure, gentlemen and (an apparently growing number of) ladies, FMS is proud to present, Hall of Fame #2: Abdominals and Thigh.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

In response to the Michelle Baker "favorite image" post, you got me thinking about what the "trigger" pose is for me, when I hit it or see others do, she writes.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

It is definitely abs/thigh. I love seeing all that thick muscle converging on a woman: definitely small firm tits with mega-erect nipples on top of thick pecs and those ultra-ripped ab ridges, deep armpits, sexy serratus.

imagebam.com imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

I like BOTH the huge women in this pose, provided they don't have implants, and the smaller, younger women. Love to see the look of PRIDE on their faces. There is nothing more sexual on women than that thrust, with the nipples, armpits, and pussy just offered up as the muscles strain and push them forward.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

And especially, that look of pride!!!

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Well, I don't know about you, but I'm certainly looking at these pictures in a slightly different light now. "Nipples, armpits and pussy just offered up..." And I thought it was just about the abs. And thigh. Wow. I think I need a bit of quiet time...

Enjoy!

Please add to the Hall of Fame. Nominations by email to 6ft1swell@gmail.com

Hall of Fame #1

There are some images, some photo sets of female bodybuilders that you never forget. The images in these sets stay with you. You may not have seen them for years, but when you do see them again the excitement is just as great as it was the first time.

For example, seeing these images of the gorgeous Michelle Baker again recently was as exciting as it had been to see them for the first time the best part of ten years ago.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Her smouldering looks, her beautiful dark skin. Feminine in her dress, yet she's covered in ripped and powerful muscle. But it's her perfect pecs that steal the show. Whether Michelle is flexing them or not, my eye is always drawn to these deep, rippling mounds of female muscle because, I think, the dress seems to have been designed with the sole intention of showing these wonders off to their fullest advantage.

The images are, for me, representative of what I most love about female bodybuilders, of the essence of my sthenolagnia. They provide this viewer with an intoxicating combination (and juxtaposition) of glamorous feminine beauty and hard, powerful female muscle. They are a triumph both for the photographer and for the model. I was utterly smitten when I first saw them, and equally smitten upon seeing them again.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Of course, there are many many other images and photo sets that are what you might call "favourites". There are many images or photo sets that combine the feminine with the muscle in a similarly exciting way, and there are many other images that are just as exciting for quite different reasons. But this week, the excitement of rediscovering Michelle and the perfect dress for her perfect pecs got me thinking...

Yes, once again, FMS is asking for you lovely readers to give us your input. Which pictures, which photo sets, which clips even, would be your nominations for the Female Muscle Lovin' Hall of Fame? Which would be your Desert Island female muscle selection? Which would you save if your house was on fire? If you were curating an exhibition of female muscle art, what would you be hanging on the gallery wall?
