Dena: A Retrospective (Day 7)

Screening 7: A Female Muscle Dream Come True

Meet Dena Westerfield, Olympia 2006 0.47
Posing at 2007 Olympia Expo 0.57
Awefilms: Voyeur 6.36

Our shorts tonight feature Dena flexing at two Ms Olympias.

The first, from 2006, shows Dena doing her thing at the pre-contest ‘Meet the Olympians’ get-together, so she’s as contest-ready as she can be, and I think, judging by the dress she’s chosen for the event, she’s quite proud of her pectoral development.

The second, taken by Christopher Wilson (whose work was also featured on Abs Night earlier this week) the following year at the Olympia Expo, shows Dena in her off-season shape (she competed at the Jan Tana and the Europa that year, but not at the Olympia).

And so to tonight’s, final, feature presentation of our retrospective…

Imagine your female muscle radar going ballistic as the most gorgeous, most muscular woman you have ever seen comes into view. You’re staying in a hotel, say, and this vision of glamorous feminine muscle beauty is on the floor below. ‘The Madness’ descends as you are overcome with the intense adrenaline rush that she has caused.

Luckily, she doesn’t seem to be going anywhere and you have a perfect view of her. Her dress is sleeveless and also slightly open at the front, showing off her big, beautiful traps, shoulders and arms perfectly, as well as hard, natural pecs, which is just how you like them. And you almost die when she looks around herself and surreptitiously flexes her arms a little.

It must be a dream. Or, worse still, your female muscle obsession has finally driven you over the edge and you are hallucinating. She can’t be real, can she? This can’t be happening, can it? And then she looks up. Straight at you.

When muscular women have caught you staring before, your default reaction has always been to look away, to pretend you had never seen them. But that’s not what happens this time. Perhaps this time you just can’t look away. Or perhaps it’s the way that she’s looking at you. There’s no anger in her face, no ‘what are you looking at?’ attitude. As much as she’s caught you watching, you’ve caught her flexing for herself.
There’s just a smile. A knowing smile.

And then she starts to flex again, to flex for you. She turns to reveal her dress is not only sleeveless, but virtually backless. She rolls her shoulders and her back muscles dance. She shots out an arm and her tricep threatens to rip through her skin. For a moment you feel so light-headed that you think you are going to faint, and you have to grip the rail in front of you to steady yourself, remembering to breathe as you desperately try to take in every detail of her, every cut, every rippling muscle.

She looks up and smiles again before launching into a series of biceps flexes that once again leave you breathless. And then, with a last glance towards you, she turns and walks away.

You are temporarily rooted to the spot, then bolt to the nearest stairwell and tear down to where she was. You look around, frantically searching for some indication of where she has gone. There is none.

The taste you have had has left you wanting more. At that moment you would give your soul for a chance to see her flex just once more. And you keep searching, combing the corridors on every floor of the hotel, waiting around in the lobby for hours, desperate for just one more glimpse. But there will be no more.

The dream is over.

And so is our Dena retrospective. I hope you enjoyed my selection, even if you would have chosen different examples of her work. She seems to have disappeared from the world of female muscle lovin’ around 2012, but thanks to AwefilmsMuscle Angels, Tom Nine, and other websites that didn’t feature this week, we can all keep on lovin’ Dena for many years to come.

And if you haven’t experienced today’s clip (or any of the other clips this week) in its entirety, FMS would be delighted to point you in the direction of a place where it can be found for download. Just get in touch. Similarly, if you haven’t been able to watch any of the tube clips for copyright reasons in your country, please do let me know and I’ll see what I can do to get around that.

All legal and above board, of course!
