WOW! Dani Reardon in St. Louis

Today, FMS would like to add our own personal WOW! to the chorus of WOWs that could be heard during Danielle "lil monstar" Reardon's appearance at the IFBB St. Louis Pro on March 8th and the subsequent fan forum posting frenzy it provoked.



One fan confessed, I'm in love with Dani, and added, This is the kind of woman I would do anything for, even if she were a total bitch. Well, we might not go quite that far, but when the first images of Dani on stage started to reach the FMS office, there was more than a little public drooling and private under-desk activity.



We've seen her on stage before, and Dani has featured on FMS on more than one occasion (firstly in March 2013, and most recently in our Hot and Hard 100 at 32) but the body she brought to St. Louis was Dani at a whole new level of muscular sex appeal.




This new level body won Dani 2nd place (and a cheque for a massive $1,000) in only her second pro outing. Reardon and [eventual winner Jennifer] Robinson looked to be the duo who grabbed the judges’ attention from the outset, Steve Wennerstrom wrote in his RxMuscle contest review, reckoning that Robinson had edged it because of her superior stage experience (ten shows as opposed to Dani's two), although he does also acknowledge that the twosome showed notably different overall physical looks.



And the notable difference? Well, in a word, muscle. Not that Jennifer doesn't have any, but she doesn't have lil monstar muscles, and as said monstar is all ripped to shreds, you can see all that monstar muscle in all its monstarous glory.



And while I am fully aware she does not have the muscle of today's pro female bodybuilder, she certainly does have a look that reminds me of the first muscular women I ever fell for - the pro female bodybuilders of the 1980s. And you never forget your first love(s), do you? If the future of women's physique is going to be in this lil monstar's condition, then FMS will most definitely be paying attention.




I can't wait to do it again, an ecstatic Dani posted on her Facebook page after the show. Well, here at FMS we definitely can't wait for her to do it again, either.

The IFBB has announced today that due to the high level of muscularity of some physique competitors at recent shows, a reshuffle of classes will take place with immediate effect. Good news is the Bodybuilding division will still exist, but the bad news is all shows are cancelled. Muscular physique competitors may now enter a new "bodybuilding80" class, the guidelines to which suggest "an Anja Langer look" most desirable. Other Physique competitors may opt for a brand new division, "Figure+". Figure is being renamed "Figure Hardbody", while Fitness is set to become "Poledancing", and Bikini will become "Topless Synchronised Poledancing in Thongs".
