Summer Break @NPC USAs

In the past, FMS has tended to close up shop for weeks over the summer, usually during August. We've tried not to leave you FMS-less on those occasions, and have consequently come up with ideas like Legs Month, August Picture Post, and, last year, While the Slave's Away to tide you over while we're sunning ourselves.

This year we're not shutting up the offices for one long holiday but a series of shorter breaks, but our commitment to give you at least one stunning example of female muscle heat to look at every day remains. So this year it's Summer Breaks, and part deux reviews the recent NPC USAs. We hope you enjoy our selections.

And for our final individual Physique athlete from the recent NPC USAs, FMS has picked a young woman who finished way down in the placings but keeps going up and up in our estimation. Say hello to Kristin Abhold, 7th in the "B" class.

Yesterday we noted how Kathy Garza lights up NPC News Online's backstage edit from the show, and we could have said the same for Kristin as she pumps up her arms, and then later in the clip does a little posing. Her cuteness factor is off the scale hot, notes one fan on the forums, though I bet you've probably already noticed that.

Kristin began as a Figure athlete, competing in (and winning) her first show in 2013. She stayed with Figure and natural bodybuilding federations initially and then switched to the NPC in 2014 at the Idaho Muscle Classic, finishing 2nd.

Last year saw her switch to Physique and start getting noticed by fans and female muscle sites alike. After finishing 6th at the Emerald Cup, she returned to the Idaho Classic won the Women's Physique title, and then followed that up with a 2nd place at the NPC Night of Champions in October. Shoots with HerBiceps and a sudden rush of Kristin candids and selfies appearing on the forums followed. How has this stunning, understated beauty not caught my attention before? wondered one fan.

She's on the collective radar now for sure.

Check out Kristin's Instagram and/or Facebook Athlete Page. An interview with her before the finals at her first show in 2013 is worth a look if you want to know more about Kristin's life before muscle and for the effect her "stunning, understated beauty" has on the man with the mic, who works himself up into quite a frenzy! And if you're Idaho and need some motorcycle clothes, why not drop by and see a specialist at High Desert Harley-Davidson in Meridian. She's a stunning, understated beauty they say!

Not coming home with any hardware, Kristin said after the show, but I had a great experience on the national stage this weekend. I know what I need to improve on and I'm not intimidated by the work that needs to be done. Bring it on!
